Ham Radio Testing
SCARS works hard to develop a working relationship with those outside of the club.  If you have taken the time to look through the website, you can notice how strong those relationships are.  One area of hard work is from our Volunteer Examiners.  These VE's volunteer their time to offer the FCC exams for anybody desiring to get a ham radio license.
If you have questions about obtaining a ham radio license or just have general questions about ham radio, please click here
It's not hard to obtain your ham radio license but it is highly recommended that you study before taking the exams that are offered by the VE's.  If you are prepared for the exam, we ask that you pre-register for an exam date.  Exams are offered every Thursday before the second Saturday of every month at 6:30 PM (central time zone) at Fire Station #7 near the Westheimer Airport.  To pre-register for an exam, please click here.
SCARS wishes you the best of luck as you pursue your ham radio interests.  Please refer to the links above for contact information if you have questions about testing.
For additional information on SCARS, contact Adam Krech, WX4CHR, Secretary and Webmaster.
